COVID-19 Update: 3.17

 

Dear Friends of MVL,

 

The situation surrounding the novel Caronavirus, COVID-19, has presented all of us a great challenge. We have seen large events being canceled, schools being canceled, travel prohibited, and much more. Unfortunately, this is likely just the beginning.

 

Having been out of town for the past 5 days at a pre-scheduled training for CranialSacral work, I have been monitoring the situation closely. We have all seen the situation change rapidly, and it will continue to change every day. As a result of these changes, and as recommended by the CDC and the WHO, we feel that it is in the best public interest, and the interest of our practitioners, to close the studio for the near future.

 

We have already made arrangements to postpone many of the upcoming appointments that some of you have made. Even though we are showing no symptoms at this time, and as encouraged by public health professionals, the best way that MVL can help combat the presence of this global pandemic is to do our part and help limit the spread of the virus.

 

This was a difficult decision for us. We are in this business to help others, and we believe that massage, reflexology, and Reiki are all beneficial to our physical and our emotional health. During times like these we can always use a boost to both. It is also for this reason that the decision to close was considered the best way to keep people healthy and safe during this pandemic. During the closure we will be doing a thorough sanitation of the studio according to the guidelines set by the CDC and the WHO. This way, when we reopen, our space will continue to be a safe place for continued health.

 

In addition, Victoria is planning to host free, live guided meditations through Facebook. The schedule will be announced on our Facebook page, and we encourage you to join.

 

Due to rapidly changing state of things, we will continue to communicate updates on our website and Facebook.
